Getting ready for the start of the new 2023 school year

We are delighted to welcome new families to the Lycée Français René Descartes in Phnom Penh.

We are honoured to welcome them to our school for the education and development of their children. In our ongoing commitment to excellence, our teaching and administrative teams are determined to provide a quality learning environment, characterised by multiculturalism, multilingualism and caring, to foster the harmonious development of all students.

We look forward to getting to know each other and working together to ensure the success of our new students. Our teams are available to answer any questions you may have, and we’ll be with you every step of the way. We will be there for them at every stage of their journey, from nursery to final year.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new colleagues who are joining us for the 2023-2024 school year. Whether they are discovering our school, their new country or our community, we look forward to sharing this experience with them. We are confident that each of them will bring new ideas, skills and perspectives to our team.

Together, we will continue to deliver quality education and create an exceptional learning environment for our students. We encourage our new colleagues to take the time to settle in and ask any questions they may have. The LFRD teams are there to support them throughout their integration. We are delighted to welcome them and look forward to working together to achieve our common goals.

On Friday 1 September, the teachers went back to school. During the course of the day, we discussed the main themes of the new school year and made the final preparations to welcome you all back.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Pierre Vincent, COCAC, Vanessa Voukotitch, President of the APE, as well as Romain Brenas, administrator and property expert, and Dilip Abye, architect at Archétype, for their presence on this pre-start day. Their support and commitment are essential to ensuring a successful start to the new school year, and we are grateful to be able to count on their expertise.
