Tips for the summer
Your high school years are very important. You need to rest and take advantage of your vacation to be in great shape when you return to school in September. But you also need to revise so you don’t forget the knowledge you have acquired during the year.
So how do you do it?
It is important that you give yourself a month to enjoy your vacation, to rest.
This period will allow you to see which lessons you have learned well, which ones you have forgotten or which you did not understand. Make a schedule beforehand, so you can make the most of these weeks. This way, you won’t feel guilty about not working because everything will be planned.
Easing back into work, getting organised
In August, no need to work six hours a day to get ready for school. The key is to get organized.
We advise you to make a list of the chapters you have identified as priorities, subject by subject. Write down the number of hours of study time that it should take you. Then, you write down a schedule of when to work on what. With this method, you can really enjoy the times when you are not working because you don’t think about the work, you know that everything will be done in time. This feeling is very pleasant and allows you to better enjoy your summer!
Be careful not to make a schedule that is too full, you risk not keeping it and getting frustrated. It is better to do little but to do well.
Working 3-4 hours for three days a week is enough for most high school students!
Sleep cycle, work cycle
The last week of August, you can study a little more, for example every morning.
During this week, it is also important that you start setting an alarm clock if you didn’t before. You don’t have to get up at 6am, but try to go to bed earlier and wake up earlier than you did the last few weeks. This will allow you to gradually get back into a healthy rhythm and not arrive too far behind in September.
