In line with the French Embassy ’s vision for all services for children and young people the lycée recognises that children have a fundamental right to learn in a safe environment and to be protected from harm. To this end, the lycée will be committed to ensuring that all members of the school community as well as parents are aware of school responsibilities and procedures in this area.

The school maintains a picture ID system for access to the school. All staff, as well as students and their families are issued an ID that provides entry to school during the school day and for after-school activities. Should you need another one or should somebody else than you pick up your children at school, please let the school authority know.

Should you lose your picture ID, please let the school authority know as soon as possible. You will then have to apply for a new one.

Dans tout les cas :

  • all staff as well as students must display their pass at all time when within the school premises.
  • The Parents or the person the parents have pointed out to pick up the students must display their LFRD pass.
  • Visitors with no ID cards are required to check in and out at the security station to gain entrance to the school.

Within the school premises :

Visitors/parents should not be within the school premises during school hours without official business and may be directed to the main office.

At the end of the school day studens become the responsibilty of their parents and are required to leave the premises as fast as possible.

School entrance

Kindergarten :

Childrem are accompanied to their classroom by their parents or the person in charge, our qualified and trained teachers will then take care of them.

Important information : parents are permitted to enter school between 7.30 and 12.50, they are required to leave school before 8am and 1 pm.

Primary school:

Parents should not be at school during school hours without official business (for which they are required to check in at the security station). Children enter school by themselves.

Important information : students are permitted to enter at 7.15 and 12.50.

Junior high school :

Students, and students only, are permitted to enter the school from 7.15am.

Leaving school

Kindergarten :

When proper identification is clearly displayed parents or the person in charge have to pick up their childrem at the classroom at dismissal.

Important information : parents are permitted to enter LFRD premises 10 minutes before dismissal time.

Primary school :

Parents are required to pick their children up at dismissal time in designated areas.

Important information : parents are permitted to enter LFRD premises 10 minutes before dismissal time.

Junior high school students :

Students are permitted to leave school grounds alone at dismisall time.

After-school activities

Parents are required to pick their children up after each after-school activites or daycare but are not premited to stay within school premises.

Only students and school staff are permitted to access the school canteen. Parents are not permitted to access the school canteen.

After school care

Parents have to accompany their children to daycare in the morning and pick them up in the evening in the hall of kindergarten school.

Junior High School

Only school staff and Junior high school students are permitted to use the Junior high school gate from 7.15am to 6.15 pm.

Video surveillance system / CCTV

At LFRD , safety is our top priority. To that end 32 security cameras ensure the ability to constantly monitor activity within school premises.

A better security system in 2017

All staff as well as students and visitors will soon be required to go through security scanning stations.

Security badges will be needed to gain entrance to the school.

24h/24h Security guards

The school also employs trained guards to ensure school premises are secure.

They contribute to:

  • Monitoring, informing and controlling suspicious activities within school premises
  • Welcoming, giving information and screening visitors
  • Helping people
