Last Friday, you received an email announcing the hybrid online/on site reopening of the LFRD:
- Wednesday 15/9 for middle and high school,
- Thursday 16/9 for primary school.
Authorities have confirmed the reopening of middle and high school for tomorrow, but have unfortunately reversed their position, and delayed on-site schooling for primary school students (Kindergarten and Elementary).
Indeed, authorities wish to monitor the reopening of middle and high school before providing the authorisation to reopen primary school.
We are hoping for a reopening in 1 or 2 weeks as the school is ready, and all conditions are met. Local authorities have already visited our premises and gave their agreement in principle.
We thank you for your understanding, and your adaptability. We share your disappointment and difficulties. Our Management team, the Parents’ Association, and the French Embassy will continue to dialogue with the authorities to accelerate the reopening for all our students.
Thus, distance education will resume Thursday for Kindergarten and Elementary students. Wednesday the LFRD will finish testing all staff members, and readjust the teaching requirements.
The entire LFRD team, the Parents’ Association, and the French Embassy are fully committed and remain at your side and available for any questions.
